Hotel Football Old Trafford is located next to Old Trafford football arena which is the heart of Manchester. It's not walking distance to the Manchester center but anyway football is the reason why most of the tourists come to Manchester and not the beautiful center or river views. Anyway there are good connections from the Hotel Football Old Trafford to the Manchester center. There are several buses and taxi or Über ride is not too long.
By the way it's worth mentioning that in Manchester Über is working exceptionally well. In UK Über drivers need to have local licence and registration but there are many drivers. Quality of cars is even better than traditional taxis and drivers are more service minded because they have to think about their rating on the app.
